Co-Director, FCJ Refugee Centre
Francisco Rico-Martinez is a former political refugee from El Salvador. He moved to Canada with Loly, his wife, and their two children. He has dedicated his life in Canada to advocating for refugees and has been committed to social justice issues. He is the former president of the Canadian Council of Refugees and the current co-director of FCJ Refugee Centre. He runs four Toronto shelters with his wife, accommodating about thirty people. He has been vocal against any legislation that further marginalizes refugees and will be providing a dual perspective at the conference: as a refugee and as a refugee advocate.
